  1. Game of Logging Level 2 Course

    April 22, 2021, All Day

    Cornell Cooperative Extension will be offering three Game of Logging courses in April 2021. On April 22nd the Game of Logging Level 2 course will focus on maximizing chainsaw performance through basic maintenance, carburetor setting, and filing techniques. Liming and bucking techniques will be introduced, springpole cutting is covered and more felling is practiced. Due to a generous grant from International Paper and the Capital Region Industrial Development Agency cost per person, per class is only $45.00. Pre-registration is required.   2. "Tell Your Earth Day Story" Community Art Event

    April 22, 2021, 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM @ City Park, Outside Crandall Public Library

    Sustainable PR, a green-focused PR agency, is partnering with local Glens Falls business and community groups to host an event April 22 to celebrate Earth Day & spark conversations about what a bright — and green — future will look like. The kid-friendly “Tell Your Earth Day Story” community art event will run from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm outside Crandall Public Library in City Park, and will feature a public chalkboard art installation where participants of all ages can write and draw their messages of hope for Earth Day and what “sustainability” means to them. All activities will be outdoors & will include green giveaways and vegan-friendly treats from local sponsors. Host Sustainable PR will be giving out plant seedlings to attendees, and local event sponsors will be providing complimentary snacks including vegan-friendly peanut butter protein balls from Juicin’ Jar, a Glens Falls health-focused eatery, and spring water from JUST Water, a trailblazer in sustainably sourced packaging
