DETAILS: The Glens Falls Fire Department is celebrating its 120th Anniversary having provided services faithfully to the City of Glens Falls since 1903. The Department has transitioned from the horse-drawn equipment of yester-year to the modern equipment of today.
The Glens Falls Fire Department has operated out of two fire stations through its entirety. The Ridge Street Firehouse is the oldest station and serves as the headquarters of the Department. The second fire station is located at Broad Street and houses the aerial apparatus, an ambulance, a Fire Engine as well as the trench rescue trailer.
The amount of service as well as the level of service has increased over the years. But no one can question the commitment nor the dedication of the Glens Falls Fire Department in providing the best possible services to the city since 1903.
