[ARCHIVED] Glens Falls DPW is asking city residents to not begin raking yard waste to the curb

leaves

The Glens Falls Department of Public Works is asking city residents to please not begin raking or depositing lawn and yard waste at the curb. Although temperatures are now warming, it is still March and the possibility of further snowfalls remain. Yard and lawn waste at the curb will foul and interfere with city snowplows if another snowfall occurs—temperatures have been erratic this year.

It is still permissible for city residents to place yard and leaf waste in bags and place the bags in front of their homes—bags will still be picked up.

The regular lawn and yard waste pick-up will begin normally in April.

The Department and its crews thanks city residents for their cooperation.
