The Glens Falls Recreation Department announced today that the pond in Crandall Park is now open for public skating. With the recent onset of freezing temperatures Department of Public Works crews were able to check the pond for safety and clear and groom it. The pond will be lighted every day from 4pm until 10pm. The opening of the pond for skating every year is dependent on the arrival of cold temperatures. The City is asking that small children be accompanied by adults and that all skaters practice COVID-19 social distancing and masking. There is no charge to use the pond. Parking is available in Crandall Park.
