[ARCHIVED] Resurfacing of Glen Street

Road Closure

Beginning Tuesday, September 7, the City of Glens Falls Department of Public Works, working with Commercial Paving Co., will resurface Glen Street from the intersection of Bay and South streets north to the City line at Fort Amherst Road.

In an effort to minimize disruptions to motorists and pedestrians, the work is scheduled to be done at night from September 7 through September 10. Work will take place between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.  As always, the schedule is weather dependent.

During the work, Glen Street will be CLOSED to all traffic.  A posted detour will divert traffic to Bay Street.

Local traffic (residents located in the work zone) should use side streets and follow DPW flagger instructions.  Emergency vehicles will have access as required.

Digital message boards have been placed at the intersection of Bay and South streets and at Fort Amherst Road to alert the public of the closure. The media will be notified of any change in the schedule.

Please direct questions about this project to Jeremy Schneible, assistant city engineer, at 518-761-3850 x 124.
