[ARCHIVED] The City of Glens Falls DPW has Announced the 2020 Fall Yard Debris Pick Up Schedule

FALL PICK-UP SCHEDULE

The Department of Public Works would like to remind City residents that the Fall open pick-up period for yard debris will be as follows:

FALL OPEN PICK-UP BEGINS

OCTOBER 13TH      

 FALL OPEN PICK-UP ENDS

NOVEMBER 30TH or First Major Snowfall

 BAGS ONLY

May 23rd to October 13th

 

Please note that the OPEN PICK UP schedule will be strictly enforced.  After the June 1st deadline, all yard debris must be placed in biodegradable bags, available at any of the Glens Falls Stewarts or other area stores.  We will start in Ward 3, then Ward 2, Ward 1, Ward 4 and then Ward 5.  ALL GRASS CLIPPINGS MUST BE BAGGED.


Please do not mix topsoil, sod, trash, or heavy materials in with the leaves and other yard trimmings.  Please make sure all brush is separate and piled in one direction and not placed with yard waste.  Please be aware that the City does not provide pick-up services for major clearing operations or to commercial establishments.
