The Broad Street Commons project has progressed to the point where water and sewer main connections are needed.
The connection to the water main crosses Broad Street. In order to minimize traffic delays, this work is planned as night construction work, starting at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 4, and ending at 7 a.m., Friday, June 5. During this period, Broad Street will be closed to through traffic between Luzerne Road and Staple Street.
Traffic will be detoured around the work zone on Thomas Street, Third Street and Staple Street, as shown on the attached map. Detour directional signs will be provided.
Variable message boards will be placed 24 hours before the work starts to help alert the public to the closure.
Please seek alternate routes if possible, and drive with caution in construction zones.
