Stores will be open for holiday shopping – be sure to bring your list! Keep the holiday spirit going all through the night by mingling with costumed characters, reading Santa your wish list and listening to carolers with a cup of hot cocoa in hand.

On Friday night there will be the Tree Lighting in City Park, the arrival of Santa, Carols by The Glens Falls Community Theater, Horse and Wagon Rides, Sax-o-clause, Carol singing at The First Presbyterian Church. And, so much more!

There will be a Window Display competition among downtown businesses.

2019 is the 75th Anniversary of the LOOK Magazine articles designating Glens Falls as the first Hometown USA. There will be special events and displays recreating the year 1944. We are once again asking businesses to join us in presenting a festive holiday window display competition to help take us back to 1944.

There will be voting for a People’s Choice Winner.

The window display will include streets in the historic Downtown area including, but not limited to, South, Glen, Ridge, Maple, Bay, Exchange, Park, and Warren Streets.
