As the temps dip & the snow piles up many of us are able to continue with our daily activities & responsibilities with minimal accommodations, despite the dreary winter weather. For aging or disabled loved ones & neighbors that's not always the case. It never hurts to check on a neighbor, friend or loved one. It's a small task but it can really go a long way. Check in to see if they have enough to eat. Or better yet bring them a dish or offer to go to the store for them. Make sure they have heat, shovel their walkway or bring in their mail for them. Sometimes a simple knock on the door or a phone call can literally save a life.
