Responsibilities
The Water and Sewer Department operates and maintains the water plant, wastewater plant, as well as the distribution and collection system.

Water Testing
The Water and Sewer Department operates a commercial laboratory that performs water testing for the public and municipalities. Testing rates, fees and charges are avaiable in website Document Center. Go to "Documents" at bottom of home page, left-click "Water and Sewer". Documents viewable on right hand side of screen.

  • NOTICE: City of Glens Falls residents, the City’s annual MS4 report will be available for review on April 27, 2018, at the following locations: Glens Falls Waste Water Treatment Plant, 2 Shermantown Road; City Hall, 42 Ridge Street; Crandall Public Library, 251 Glen Street; on the City website under Water and Sewer “Documents” and electronically by e-mailing . This report documents the City’s progress toward the goals established in our Storm Water Management Plan and will be submitted to New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The City’s Storm Water Management Plan is also available for review at the above-listed locations. Public comments on this program and the City’s progress are encouraged and may be submitted in writing to the offices stated above, e-mailed to the City Engineer or voiced during public participation at the Water and Sewer Board meeting on May 7, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Glens Falls Waste Water Treatment Plant conference room at 2 Shermantown Road, Glens falls.
