  8. Four Play the Musical

    May 18, 2019, 7:30 PM @ The Park Theater

What do men do when they get together with their friends? Four Play the Musical attempts to answer this question with a light-hearted look at the interaction of four college buddies who meet every year after college to play golf. When they get together, they try to re-live their adolescence while drinking beer and talking about their families and most recent health conditions. As the years go on, we see them grow more successful in the business world and their conversations become more personal. Medical issues are parodied in song. “I May Have Things in Low Places,” a parody about the dreaded colonoscopy, is one hilarious example. No matter what their age they are still boys at heart. Four Play is a play about fun, friendship and families. Although an adult theme, it is a clean wholesome view into the male psyche. It is a story about boomers, written by a boomer.
